Missouri floating, camping and cabins. Nestled among scenic Ozark hills less than 90 miles southwest of St. Louis, on the banks of the clear, fast flowing Upper Meramec River, is rustic Bird's Nest Lodge, a lovely haunt where nature's pleasures abound and cares disperse.

We offer a complete family vacation resort, with canoe and raft rental, remote or riverfront camping, free hot showers, beautiful rustic and modern cabins, home cooked meals from our dining lodge, a country store, bait shop with fishing and guide services available, swimming, and special group & weekday rates.

Porch Dining


The Bird's Nest Lodge boasts a large number beautiful cabins, and a spacious and newly renovated and remodeled main lodge. These are Missouri cabins and lodging at it's finest. There is plenty of room for camping and outdoor fun on our 29 acres of riverfront property!

Fall asleep to the sound of running water on our riverfront campsites. Missouri camping never sounded so good! And if that's not enough, the breathtaking view from our huge wrap around deck overlooking the river is sure to take you to your happy place.

Bring your appetite! Our dining facilities offer seating for individuals or large groups with beautiful porch dining overlooking the Meramec River. This is Ozark Country home cooking at its best.

During our regular float season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) we offer breakfast buffet on Saturday morning, Pork steak dinner on Saturday evening, and breakfast again on Sunday morning.
